Between the years of 1763-1815, the start of the American Revolution began. They tell a story about how a group of British colonies began a new nation. After the French and Indian War, the tension grew due to the colonists fighting back against the British Control. The tension led to a Revolution, even though it was a united fight due to neighbors choosing sides as Patriots and Loyalists. Women even stepped into a new role, helping keep families and communities running while helping shape the movement for Independence. During the Revolution, the Declaration of Independence was written, which led to leaders arguing over how to manage the new government. During this heated discussion between the leaders, the Native Americans faced displacement as the nation expanded. This topic is very important to American History because it inspired a new Democracy for America and helped shape this country today. The debate and discussion in this era help define Amercia and it helps us understand and know what decision where made during those early years leads to today.
